‘3 basics’ guide to editing your current wardrobe and how to implement a ‘10+ time’ rule.

  1. WHITE T-SHIRT

So firstly… a good quality basic white t-shirt. Isn’t this the obvious staple to anyone’s wardrobe? Great for layering, dressing up, dressing down, lounging around etc, you get the drill. One thing to look out for is the material, so 100% cotton is the one. I’d go for one with a nice soft yet slightly thicker feel specially for us ladies to minimise any see-through nipples. This is my current favourite the white Uniqlo U Women’s T-Shirt, which I want to get in Men’s too for a slightly looser fit on the shoulders - I have mine in a S as the XS is my size but I wanted something a bit looser and easier to style. Also the Weekday Alanis t-shirt is great too.

2. denim Jeans

Whether that is light-wash, mid-wash, dark-wash, black, white or grey… having a good pair of go-to denim jeans is always an essential for running errands, dressing up with heels or trainers. The best jeans aren’t comfortable. However, they look great with practically anything so here are my favourite pair from Levi’s (found these in a good old charity/thrift store, you can find some great designer pieces there for such a bargain!) Also, weekday do great high-street jeans and the quality is so good too! These are the Weekday Voyage high straight jeans.

3. DRESS

Okay this is the trickiest part for us girls. Every party, new dress?! You don’t need too buy a new dress every time, this will not only thank your debit card and not breaking the bank every time but it will give you more ideas of how to style your favourite current dress, whether it’s an LBD or a long flowy dress. This is my current favourite LBD from H&M for any occasion again you can dress up or down. As well as this Zara mid-long sleeve linen beige maxi shirt dress (last year) - here’s a similar one from & Other Stories, great for this time when transitioning during the late summer days.
